Assalamu aleikum dear reader and welcome to IlmCollection. Before anything I would like to share with you the story behind IlmCollection.

IlmCollection was made from a personal need – a desire for a companion that could guide and organize my thoughts as I embarked on my own journey of seeking knowledge. As a Muslim striving to strengthen my faith and deepen my understanding of Islam, I found myself longing for a tool that not only structured my studies but also inspired and nurtured my spiritual growth.

Ilm علم, means knowledge in Arabic, and Collection represents the gathering of wisdom that we collect through our path of knowledge. At IlmCollection, we believe that the pursuit of knowledge is a transformative journey – one that connects us more deeply with our Creator and strengthens our faith through conviction, understanding, and love for Islam.

In Islam, seeking knowledge is not just encouraged – it is an obligation upon every Muslim. As our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 224, Grade: Sahih

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. People do not gather in the houses of Allah, reciting the book of Allah and studying it together, but that tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will cover them, angels will surround them, and Allah will mention them to those near him.
